I took a little longer to get out of the house this morning and reached the station after the sun had come up. Another bright, sunny, Central Valley morning. The train came, I boarded, we headed off for the Bay Area.

About 40 minutes later, the train reached the Carquinez Strait—the edge of the fog-socked Bay Area.

The distance from home to work is about 60 miles on the map (about 88 miles by train) and 10 to 30-degrees on the thermometer.
