The sky…
…came out this morning.
The Central Valley has been trapped under a layer of wildfire haze for the past three weeks. This has given us some beautiful red skies, but living on the surface of Mars gets old after awhile. This morning I was surprised to see actual, honest-to-goodness blue sky—fluffy white clouds, sunbeams streaming in all directions, the whole nine yards.
If it hadn’t been early in the morning and I hadn’t been on my way to work, I might have considered it glorious. Might have.
Despite a nice sunrise, it just doesn’t pay to get up in the morning.
