Summer Movie: Stardust
Continuing on our Summer 2007 Movie Quest, Miss T and I, along with Programmer Girl and the post-NYC Wonderduo, ventured out into the Central Valley mid-day heat to catch an expensive ($7.25!) matinee of Neil Gaiman’s Stardust. Having not read the illustrated novella (also by Neil Gaiman) in a number of years, I went into the film with no idea of what it was about except that it could be categorized as being in the fantasy genre. And so…
- Starred some guy, Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Robert De Niro
- At least as good as, or better than, the aforementioned novella that I had read and forgotten so long ago
- The least-juvenile fantasy movie I’ve seen in a long time
- Watch it as an expensive matinee
