Whole Earth Festival, man

This past Mother’s Day weekend Miss T and I met up with Programmer Girl and the post-NYC Wonderduo at UC Davis’ 2007 Whole Earth Festival. You can view photos from the Whole Earth Festival in this Max Pictures’ photo gallery.

At first blush, the Whole Earth Festival might seem like so much hippy-dippy flower-wearing and hand-holding. But, in actuality it’s a lot more informative, organized, commercial, and patchouli-free than you’d think.

On the whole, I’d say the Festival espouses the notions of greater understanding of disparate world cultures, lesser negative and greater positive environmental impact, and that anything tastes good if it’s fried.
